Live Talent
WEB DESIGNER, BRAND CONSULTANT
As a member of the creative team at LiveTalent, a forward-thinking Vancouver-based startup specializing in connecting businesses with local digital marketers, I had the privilege of spearheading the transformation of the company’s online presence. Tasked with overhauling the outdated website and spearheading a comprehensive rebranding effort, I embarked on a collaborative journey to redefine LiveTalent’s identity and elevate its digital footprint.
Working closely with the co-founders, we collectively envisioned a bold new direction for the company’s brand identity and online representation. Together, we established a clear vision for the rebranding initiative and set out to create a website that not only captured LiveTalent’s essence but also resonated deeply with its target audience.
With meticulous attention to detail and a relentless pursuit of excellence, I meticulously crafted a visually captivating and user-friendly website that served as a dynamic showcase of LiveTalent’s unique value proposition. From conceptualization to execution, every aspect of the website was thoughtfully curated to reflect the company’s ethos and engage visitors on a meaningful level.
While LiveTalent may no longer exist, the experience of leading this creative endeavor remains deeply ingrained in my professional journey. The skills, insights, and lessons gleaned from this project continue to inform and inspire my approach to design and branding initiatives, shaping my commitment to delivering impactful and memorable experiences for clients and users alike.

Reflections
Volunteering at LiveTalent was a transformative experience that provided me with invaluable leadership opportunities and the chance to collaborate closely with both a fellow designer and a real client. Throughout this journey, I learned the importance of confidently expressing professional opinions and advocating for design decisions that align with the company’s goals.
Initially, the CEOs expressed a preference for the website to predominantly feature shades of blue, which we incorporated into our initial design. However, upon seeing the coded version, we realized that the website lacked vibrancy and energy. Recognizing the need for an additional color to inject life into the design, we proposed this change to the CEOs, who were initially hesitant.
Through effective communication and a steadfast belief in our design vision, we were able to convey the necessity and impact of this adjustment, ultimately gaining the CEOs’ approval. This experience taught me the importance of receiving and implementing criticism constructively, as we continuously refined our design based on feedback from both the client and our team.
Overall, my time volunteering at LiveTalent not only honed my design skills but also equipped me with invaluable leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities that continue to serve me in my professional endeavors. It was a journey of growth, learning, and meaningful contributions, reaffirming my passion for design and my ability to make a positive impact in any team or organization.
